Invisalign in Narellan, Campbelltown & Mount Annan
You have probably thought about straightening your teeth more than once. Maybe you catch it in photos, or you notice yourself covering your mouth in meetings. Then you picture two years of metal brackets and the thought quietly gets shelved again.
That is the conversation we have most often here at SmileSavers. People are not put off by the idea of straighter teeth, they are put off by what they assume it involves. Invisalign changes the shape of that decision, because the aligners are clear, removable, and fit around your work, your family, and your weekends.
We will tell you honestly whether Invisalign suits your bite, and if another approach would give you a better result, we will say so. That is the same way we handle every treatment in Narellan, whether it is a check-up or a full smile plan.
Invisalign is a series of custom-made clear aligners that move your teeth into a straighter position in small, planned stages. At SmileSavers in Narellan, treatment is planned from an iTero digital scan and supervised by our dentists, led by Principal Dentist and Founder Dr Amrinder Singh Thind. Most adult cases run from around six months to eighteen months depending on how much movement is needed, and aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours a day.
What Is Invisalign and How Does It Work?
Invisalign is a clear aligner system used to correct crowding, spacing, and bite issues without fixed brackets and wires. Instead of one appliance adjusted over time, you receive a series of thin, custom-made trays. Each tray is slightly different from the last.
Every aligner applies gentle, controlled pressure to specific teeth. That pressure remodels the bone around the tooth root, which is how the tooth is able to move and then hold its new position. You move to the next aligner in the series roughly every one to two weeks, so the change happens in small, planned increments rather than all at once.
At SmileSavers in Narellan, we plan treatment from a digital scan taken with our iTero scanner, so there is no putty impression involved. The scan builds a 3D model of your teeth, and your movement plan is mapped tooth by tooth before a single aligner is made. You get to see the projected sequence before you commit.
Some cases also need small tooth-coloured attachments bonded to a few teeth. These give the aligner something to grip so it can perform trickier movements such as rotating a tooth. They will come off at the end of treatment.
The Australian Dental Association notes that orthodontic treatment should be planned and supervised by a registered dental practitioner after a full assessment of your teeth, gums, and bite. That is exactly how we approach clear aligners here. See the ADA at ada.org.au.

Invisalign vs Fixed Braces vs Veneers:
What Is the Difference?
Aligners and braces move your own teeth. Veneers change how teeth look without moving them. In some cases the two work together, with a short course of alignment first so fewer or thinner veneers are needed afterwards. We will map out both pathways at your consultation.
What Are the Risks of Invisalign and What Should I Expect Day to Day?
Clear aligners are a low-intervention treatment, but they are still active orthodontics and there are things you should know before you start.
Possible risks and side effects:
- Tenderness or pressure for the first day or two after changing to a new aligner. This is normal and usually settles quickly.
- A temporary lisp or altered speech in the first week while your tongue adjusts to the trays.
- Mild gum or tongue irritation from a tray edge, which we can smooth at a review appointment.
- In a small number of cases, teeth do not track as planned and additional aligners, attachments, or a change of approach are needed.
- Uncommonly, root resorption (shortening of a tooth root) can occur with any orthodontic tooth movement, which is why we monitor progress and take radiographs where clinically indicated.
- Decay or gum inflammation if aligners are worn over unclean teeth, because sugars and plaque get held against the enamel.
What recovery and daily life look like:
- There is no downtime. Most people go back to work the same day they start.
- Aligners come out for every meal, and teeth are cleaned before the trays go back in.
- Only water while the aligners are in. Coffee, tea, and wine will stain the trays and can stain teeth held against them.
- Expect a review every 6 to 10 weeks so we can confirm your teeth are tracking to plan.
- Retainers are for the long term, not just the first few months, and are the main thing standing between your result and gradual relapse.
- Dr Amrinder Singh Thind will go through the risks that apply specifically to your case at your consultation, along with how we manage each one. We do not promise a particular outcome, because the result depends on your starting position, your bone and gum health, and how consistently the aligners are worn.

Common Questions About Invisalign
How much does Invisalign cost in Narellan?
Cost depends on how much movement your case needs and how many aligners that takes, so we quote after your assessment rather than before it. At SmileSavers we present your options as Classic and Premier packages so you can see exactly what each includes, and we put the figure in writing before anything begins. Payment plans are available. You can download our price list for the full fee schedule.
How long does Invisalign take?
Most adult cases run from around six months to eighteen months. Minor corrections, such as a few crowded lower teeth after earlier braces, can finish faster. The bigger variable is wear time, because aligners only work while they are in your mouth, and 20 to 22 hours a day is what the plan assumes.
Does Invisalign hurt?
It is usually described as pressure rather than pain. The first day or two on a new aligner feels tight, then it eases as the teeth respond. Most people manage without anything more than an over-the-counter pain reliever, and many need nothing at all.
Where can I get Invisalign near Campbelltown?
SmileSavers is at Shop 7, 8-10 Somerset Avenue, Narellan, a short drive from Campbelltown, Mount Annan, Currans Hill, Narellan Vale, and Smeaton Grange. We are open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with Saturdays available by appointment. Call (02) 5605 4999 or book online.
Will my teeth move back afterwards?
They can, and that is true after any orthodontic treatment, including fixed braces. Teeth shift naturally with age. Wearing your retainer as directed is what holds the result, and we will explain your retention plan before treatment finishes.
Can people tell I am wearing aligners?
The trays are clear and sit closely against the teeth, so in normal conversation most people do not notice them. If your case needs attachments, they are tooth-coloured and small. You will be more aware of them than anyone else is.
